Wooden Business Card
-
Client: Who was it for?
A classmate of mine needed this for her own portfolio website.
-
Role: What did I do?
She had already created most of the design. I cleaned it up for the print company.
-
Year: When was it made?
2018
-
About the Project:
The creative process was pretty much finalized when the client handed the project off to me. All that was required was the grunt work. I used Illustrator to clean up and transform the text and logo into scalable vector graphics. In addition, I manually adjusted some of the letters to make them more legible.

Campus Activities Board
West Valley College
-
Client: Who was it for?
West Valley College's Campus Activities Board (CAB).
-
Role: What did I do?
As the advertising coordinator, I designed event flyers and their promotional material.
-
Year: When was it made?
Spring of 2017
-
About the Project:
The objective was primarily to create striking flyers that stood out on a college bulletin board. The events themselves were planned and executed by myself and other members of CAB. Working with CAB was a wonderful learning experience.

Wine Label
-
Client: Who was it for?
Empty Nest Vineyards, a small wine vineyard located in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
-
Role: What did I do?
Rick and his wife approached myself and a few other students with the hope that we could rebrand their wine bottles.
-
Year: When was it made?
Fall of 2017
-
About the Project:
The wine label business is saturated in talent, so creating a design that stood out among all the other bottles in an isle was a challenge. The client asked that the design was fun and traditional. My design was inspired by both their name and the location of the vineyard. I hoped to choose related type faces. Ultimately, my design was not chosen, but it was a valuable learning lesson in working with real clients.

St. Mary's Parish Country Fair Program Ads
-
Client: Who was it for?
St. Mary's of the Immaculate Conception School needed some ads for the sponsors of the St. Mary's Country Fair.
-
Role: What did I do?
I was given photographs and precise dimensions of how much ad space the sponsor purchased. I often had to design a layout around the photograph and match it with a relevant typeface.
-
Year: When was it made?
Fall of 2017
-
About the Project:
The project wasn't too difficult, but it was time consuming. For sponsors that purchased full or half-page ads, I definitely felt the pressure to go above and beyond. It was difficult since I did not usually have a direct line of communication with the sponsor.
